The Men from Morgenland
An officer of Abwehr (German Military Intelligence) with lingering combat wounds which preclude air travel embarks on a marathon drive from Berlin to Turkey to meet with a mysterious cabal seeking its involvement in forthcoming attacks on Allied bases across the Mediterranean and beyond. But leading anti-Nazis such as the officer's own chief Admiral Canaris tip off London and Moscow in the hope their own agents in the field – including those of NKVD's murder arm SMERSH – can at some point stop this road trip in its tracks.

The odds are stacked against an FW 200 Condor carrying a military-diplomatic mission – including a certain Abwehr officer – from ever reaching its destination, the Japanese capital Tokyo. Soviet security chief Lavrenti Beria has been forewarned of the epic 13,000 km flight – albeit obliquely – by his SS counterpart, a Heinrich Himmler cynically pursuing his own political agenda. Accordingly, one of the legendary 'Night Witches' takes to the air to find the Condor and consign it to the depths of the Gobi Desert…but that same wilderness holds shocks for dogfight survivors, including the beautiful Russian pilot herself.
The Morgenland Marks
A tiny desert island off the East African coastline is the ideal rendezvous, given its equidistance, for the top Axis admirals – Raeder and Yamamoto – to meet and determine joint naval strategy. The island is also the perfect stepping-stone for a certain Abwehr officer 'in steerage' to accomplish a passage home to Germany from the Orient…and similarly for a beautiful Indian girl headed in the opposite direction in the zealous service of the anti-British revolutionary Subhas Chandra Bose. But Allied codebreakers have learnt of the secret summit…and OSS/MI6 intend the annihilation of everyone gathered on that little piece of paradise.
